Robert Lewis, Jr., Vice President for Program at the Boston Foundation was recognized at Whittier Street Health Center's 2009 Black History Month Celebration on February 27th, for his dedication to the Boston community. In addition to inspiring remarks by Mr. Lewis, the event began with a reaffirmation by Whittier's Director of Wellness Programs, Dumas Lafontant that "yes we can" and included performances by Whittier's Director of Arts Therapy, Phil Speiser on guitar and a poetry reading by Lorraine Harris, Founder of Poetry to Empower.
